Ghanaian American media executive, Koshie Mills founded Heirs Of Afrika Inc. to fulfill her passion to bridge the gap and reconnect Africans on the continent with its global descendants in the diaspora. Under the new name and umbrella, the company ethos embraces a 360 view of creating original and inspiring content to amplify the multicultural voices in the media landscape of TV, Film, Digital, Podcast and Alternative Media for a global audience. ABOUT KOSHIE MILLS
Koshie Mills was born in Ghana, bred in England, and curated in America. Her multi-continental experience uniquely positions her to be the bridge between Africans on the continent and descendants around the world. Mills is best known as a power broker in Hollywood with a dynamic personality and fierce business acumen.
Koshie has had a successful three decade-long entertainment industry career, which started with managing her three sons who are successful Entertainers; Kwame Boateng, Kofi Siriboe and Kwesi Boakye. A serial global entrepreneur, Mills founded her boutique consulting and public relations firm, K3PR as an answer to the lack of black representation in the media industry.
An African woman at the core, she followed her vision and passion by founding “The Diaspora Dialogues” platform to end the cultural divide between Africans on the continent and the descendants around the works.
She Created and Executive Produced a television show version of the platform name, which aired in the fall of 2018 on The Africa Channel. The massive response to the show, as well as her phenomenal transformational live events, quickly earned her the role of expert advisor and Queen of all things Diaspora. Mills natural organic way of pulling everyone together resonates as her following gave her the moniker “MAMA KOSHIE”.
In 2021 Koshie redefined the name of “The Diaspora Dialogues” platform and brand to HEIRS OF AFRIKA, a company and movement with the overall mission of dispelling the myth of a singular Black experience, by utilizing authentic storytelling and multicultural, inclusive conversations as a tool for healing and reconciliation between Africa and its descendants all over the world. The explosive positive responses from the global black community, to reclaim their identity and inherit their birthright of being simply African has underscored the need for the platform and Koshie.
